Carter Notary, a reputable Notary Public office located in Victoria, BC, is seeking an experienced Contract Bookkeeper to provide professional services on a regular basis. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional Notary services with professionalism, friendliness, and integrity.
Description: As a Contract Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records with precision and confidentiality in QuickBooks and trust program. The time commitment is approximately 6-8 hours every two weeks. Days and times are flexible. The current bookkeeper of seven years will train to transition to the role. The preferred starting date is on or before September 6, 2024, to allow time for transition.
Requirements:
- Perform standard bookkeeping tasks for operational accounting
- Prepare and process payroll, twice monthly in Payworks program
- Quarterly GST & PST returns
- Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
- Complete corporate year-end statements
- Monthly financial review with Notary
- Reconcile monthly trust accounting and prepare reports
- Audit support, if applicable
- Ability to work unsupervised and meet financial deadlines
