Appointment Policy for Rescheduled or Cancelled Appointments for Will, Powers of Attorney, Health
To make sure our business runs smoothly and so we can offer a convenient schedule to all of our clients we require your acknowledgement of our appointment cancellations and rescheduling policy.
- Carter Notary requires a minimum of 2 business days notice from clients to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
- If this is not done, a minimum fee of $150 will apply
- By booking an appointment with us, you acknowledge and accept the terms of the booked appointment as defined here on this site.
It is our goal at Carter Notary to help you get the services you need. We simply want to be clear about setting valuable Notary time aside to meet with clients.
As a courtesy to our clients, for all Wills, Powers of Attorneys, Health Agreements appointments, our booking system is set up with both email and text (SMS) reminders to remind you of your appointment at the following intervals: 3 days, 1 day, and 2 hours before your appointment. Please set your email and text setting to allow for reminders from Carter Notary.
Even if we are unable to contact you, we will still expect you to arrive for your appointment.
Emergencies or Health Events
We do understand that emergencies and sickness arise with our clients, and that we may have to reschedule due to illness or unique health needs of our clients –there will not be a fee charged for a single event. However, we reserve the right to charge rescheduling or cancellation fees for multiple occurrences.
Our office is maintained on a tight schedule, arriving late for an appointment may result in us not being able to start or complete your appointment in the remaining amount of time. To provide you with time proper Notary services, it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment or to begin, but schedule a follow up to finalize details. If you are unable to arrive within 15 minutes of your appointment time, your appointment may be rescheduled. We reserve the right to charge a minimum additional fee.
