What is the difference between a Notary and a Lawyer for doing a Will?
A Notary can do about 75% of all people’s Wills. Most Wills are simple and straightforward, but people’s lives aren’t always simple and straightforward. That is the area where we see the difference of whether or not a person should see me as a Notary or a Lawyer.
People should see a Lawyer if they have complex needs. Do they have a business? Do they have a child with a disability? Those are key questions that we would be asking a potential client. At Carter Notary, we want you to see the right professional and make sure that you get the Will that you need.
You are welcome to call us with your questions! We’re happy to answer any questions that you have about your Will or how to proceed. My staff and I will get a very good idea by talking with you whether or not we can help you, or whether a Lawyer is more appropriate for your unique situation.
